This city is a popular gateway for people who want to explore the natural wonders of the South Island, including Queenstown and the beautiful Milford Sound. While easily accessible by road, new visitors to town often come via Dunedin Airport, which features regular flights to and from Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Budget New Zealand has a rental counter at the airport to service domestic and international guests.
